Managing Director — Tourism Iceland UK

We are appointing a senior travel executive to establish and lead our India offshore office for a UK-focused online travel business selling Iceland holiday packages.

Product: Iceland Holiday packages, tours and experiences

Customers: United Kingdom Mainstream UK-resident travellers
Project Ready Website, company structure and basic licensing framework are already in place.
Operating Group Glacier Ventures already operates three tourism and aviation projects.
Work Location India, from a professional office or coworking environment.
Mandatory Application Task A detailed 90-day to one-year management plan must be submitted in advance.

Job Description

The Managing Director will complete the commercial and operational setup of Tourism Iceland UK, establish the India offshore office, recruit the initial team and take responsibility for launch, growth and performance.

Build the India-based sales, reservations, operations and customer-service team.
Establish OTA workflows, booking fulfilment, supplier processes and after-sales standards.
Manage airline, hotel, transfer, tour and activity suppliers.
Build UK customer acquisition, conversion and service processes.
Implement KPIs, daily controls, weekly owner reporting and monthly performance reviews.
Take responsibility for booking value, revenue, gross margin, refunds and customer satisfaction.
Report directly to the owner of Glacier Ventures.

Mandatory Experience

Direct experience building or managing an OTA, online tour operator or online holiday-package business.
Direct experience serving mainstream UK-resident travel customers.
Experience with flight-plus-hotel packages, dynamic packaging or online booking funnels.
Proven experience recruiting and managing travel teams.
Commercial responsibility for revenue, gross margin and profitability.

NRI or diaspora-only experience does not qualify.
Hotel or hospitality experience alone does not qualify.
Offline agency experience without OTA leadership is insufficient.
Permanent work from home is not permitted.
The management plan is mandatory before interview consideration.
Mandatory Application Requirement

Submit a 90-Day to One-Year Management Plan

Prepare the plan as if you have already been hired. It must explain how you would establish, launch and manage Tourism Iceland UK from your first day through the end of year one.

First 30 Days

Business review, office selection, priorities, immediate recruitment and launch preparation.

First 90 Days

Team setup, supplier onboarding, workflows, reporting systems, sales launch and performance controls.

Up to One Year

Revenue growth, team scaling, gross-margin targets, service quality and long-term operating structure.
